Strengthening the Partnership: HELI and MLA at MEGATRANS 2026

09.29.2026

MEGATRANS 2026 gave HELI and MLA Complete Forklift Solutions an important opportunity to strengthen their collaboration and connect with Australia’s transport, logistics and supply chain sectors. Held on 16–17 September at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event brought together professionals from freight, warehousing, fleet operations, distribution and supply chain management. With productivity, efficiency and sustainability high on the agenda, MEGATRANS provided a strong platform for both teams to speak directly with customers and better understand the changing requirements of material handling operations across Australia.

At Stand C31, the focus was firmly on heavy-duty material handling, including HELI Reach Stackers and heavy-duty forklifts for logistics, container handling and industrial applications. Visitor interest in HELI’s larger equipment range was strong throughout the event. As Scot Nicholas from MLA noted in the MEGATRANS wrap-up, there was “huge interest shown in the HELI machinery”, particularly across Reach Stackers, Empty Container Handlers and forklifts. For HELI, the response reinforced the value of working with MLA to bring our heavy-duty range to more Australian customers, supported by MLA’s market knowledge, established customer base and national network.

A key product highlight at MEGATRANS was the HELI Reach Stacker, which reflects the company’s growing engineering capability in heavy-duty material handling. Designed for demanding container and terminal operations, the range places a strong focus on power, reliability, operator visibility and efficient handling in high-use environments. The product also reflects HELI’s broader investment in heavy-duty R&D, including powertrain development, intelligent control systems, safety and application-specific engineering. This ongoing development supports HELI’s ability to respond to increasingly complex operating requirements across ports, logistics hubs and other intensive material handling applications.

For HELI, MLA’s national dealer network is an important part of expanding the reach of our heavy-duty range in Australia. Through its established branch and service network, MLA supports customers with product training, scheduled maintenance, technical guidance and ongoing local support. This gives customers access not only to HELI equipment, but also to the practical support required to operate and maintain it effectively over the long term. As the partnership develops, MLA’s national presence and customer relationships will continue to help introduce HELI products into a wider range of applications and support the continued growth of the HELI brand in the Australian market.

MEGATRANS 2026 also highlighted the diversity of Australia’s material handling market. Ports, freight terminals, warehouses, manufacturing sites and regional operations all have different requirements, duty cycles and operating conditions. Equipment selection therefore needs to consider more than lifting capacity alone, including reliability, safety, energy use, servicing requirements and total cost of ownership. By continuing to work closely with MLA, HELI is well positioned to support these requirements with a combination of global manufacturing and product development, backed by local market expertise and national customer support. MEGATRANS represented another positive step in strengthening that partnership and expanding HELI’s presence in Australia’s heavy-duty material handling sector.
