What an eventful year it has been! From establishing an Oceania base here in Sydney to cultivating our ever-growing network of amazing partners to extravagant milestone events. As 2024 comes to an end, we’d like to highlight a few key Heli Oceania moments from this year.
JANUARY
In January, our Heli team established their Oceania Headquarters in Wetherill Park, Sydney – marking the start of their Australian chapter. This warehouse would help expedite the future service and delivery of Heli parts and Heli material handling products to Oceania retailers and customers.
FEBRUARY
Whilst the warehouse looked empty in January, this all changed in February – when our first shipment of Heli products arrived in Sydney. The first forklift we unloaded to our warehouse was the staple G2 Series Rough Terrain Forklift.
MARCH
March was the month of strengthening our network of partners and growing our local staff. Our Heli team travelled to Western Australia and visited Allied Forklifts, a Heli dealer. They also had local NSW dealers, Sydney Forklift Trucks and MLA Holdings visit the new Heli Oceania Headquarters.
Heli Oceania also delivered their first Sydney-stocked product to a customer!
APRIL
In April, the Heli team attended their first tradeshow (Diesel, Dirt & Turf) in support of MLA Holdings. Many Heli products made their local debut at this tradeshow.
MAY
With Heli now present in Australia, it was time they began making their presence known to the Australian public. In May, Heli Oceania began rolling out its brand strategy to help further cement its brand presence in Australia.
JUNE
The team travelled interstate to their first Heli-sponsored booth at the HIRE24 Brisbane Tradeshow, sparking further interest and brand presence in the Queensland area.
JULY
To celebrate the opening of the Heli in Sydney, Heli Oceania hosted an official Grand Opening event on the 4th of July 2024. Many important guests were flown in from interstate and overseas: such as Mr Yang Anguo (Heli Chairman), Mr Guo Yang (General Manager of Heli Industrial Vehicle Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd) and key industry partners/dealers from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji). Media representatives were also in attendance to document this momentous milestone for Heli, making it known to the Australian public that a globally top-ranking material-handling brand from China was here to make its mark in Australia.
During this event, the NEW G3 Series Compact Rough Terrain Forklift was unveiled for the first time to the public. The new product was a sheer testament to Heli’s dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction. Taking the best features from the previous G3 Rough Terrain models and adapting it into a smaller more manoeuvrable solution – reaching smaller, confined spaces never reached before.
Following the event’s closing, the Heli Oceania team accompanied Mr Anguo Yang to Perth, visiting Heli’s exclusive WA partner – Allied Forklifts. The Heli Chairman was given a tour of Allied Forklifts and met the awesome team behind the brand.
AUGUST
In August, the Heli Oceania team travelled to New Zealand to visit their NZ partner Central Group. The team were fortunate to visit the Central Group flagship branch in Auckland and the Christchurch branch, observing all their hard work and brand support within New Zealand.
SEPTEMBER
Heli Oceania’s presence in Australia was certainly beginning to grow in September. Spotted zipping around the Sydney Airport Tarmac was one of Heli’s New South Wales long-time partners, Sydney Forklift Trucks’ hire fleet Heli Forklifts – showcasing their unwavering support within the New South Wales area.
OCTOBER
In August, our Heli Oceania team travelled to Papua New Guinea to visit their Pacific partner TLC Holdings. There, they witnessed the strength of their brand support from their partner within this Pacific Island. Upon this visit, they were invited to tour the Coca-Cola Warehouse based in PPG where numerous Heli Forklifts were in action.
NOVEMBER
Another milestone celebration rolled around in November for Heli Oceania and one of its key partners, MLA Holdings. MLA had gone above and beyond with their biggest order to date – a staggering 1000+ products, varying from heavy material trucks to compact forklifts and pallet jacks. Heli Oceania hosted an exclusive Delivery Ceremony event to celebrate this achievement, with many important guests in attendance: such Mr. Fei Gaoyun (Executive Vice Governor of Anhui Province), Mr Anguo Yang (Heli Chairman), Mr Matt Saunders (MLA Chairman), other Anhui government officials and the MLA team. This event marked a major milestone for both Heli and MLA, as they support Heli’s globally recognised brand to become one of Australia’s trusted go-to forklift providers.
Following the celebrations of the Delivery Ceremony, the Anhui Province Government dignitaries, accompanied by Heli Representatives, visited the Sydney branch of the Bank of China. During this meeting, Anhui Forklift Group (Heli) and the Bank of China successfully signed a strategic partnership, cementing a collaboration that bridges manufacturing innovation and financial expertise. The partnership aims to optimise resource allocation, expand the global influence of Chinese products, and foster regional economic cooperation – injecting dynamic momentum into Heli Oceania’s development, aligning with its vision to become a leader in sustainable solutions.
DECEMBER
This month, One of Heli Oceania’s key partners, Jialift travelled to the Anhui Province in China to visit the Heli Group Headquarters. There, they were given a tour of the facilities and an in-depth Heli product tour; with a first look at Heli’s heavy duty lithium-ion truck.
This year, the Heli Oceania team also celebrated their first Aussie Christmas together; with delicious food, fun games, and appreciation for the amazing year 2024 has been.
As we reflect on the incredible milestones achieved in 2024, it’s clear this has been a year of growth, connection, and innovation for Heli Oceania. From establishing our Sydney headquarters to celebrating grand events and building lasting partnerships across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, every step has been a testament to our commitment to excellence and collaboration. As we step into 2025, we are excited to continue driving innovation in material handling and expanding our impact across the region.
